Romeo is a pretty weird guy. He is standoffish and does not interact with people outside his exciting circle much (thecircle in question? his family and the company which his family runs.)
it's kind of like his whole personality is a facade. nobody knows what he's really like, probably. Romeo is a reserved guy, he doesnt seem to talk much about himself. he prefers to push others into the spotlight instead of shining it on himself. he seems non conformational and orginised though a bit standoffish. he appears kind and cares for his siblings as much as he can, being the second oldest, however there are times when he seems uninvested in this, or even in his entire life in general.
The de Lorenzo's are an off branch of the original Lorenzo family line. originally, the family as a whole operated an assassin for hire business. Two generations ago, there was a familial dispute over something or other, leaving the Nestore de Lorenzo, the youngest and weakest of the three siblings, on his own. He moved away to a separate part of Italy and started making a life of his own. to this day he runs the de Lorenzo business. everyone, including his family (to his dismay), calls him boss. Recently, due to age or something other, he's fallen out of good health. leaving the eldest son of the third generation de Lorenzo's to lead the family. This is Romeo.
romeo de lorenzo was born and raised in italy to the de Lorenzo family. as the heir he was trained in their Nefarious Doings (killing people) and also the buisness side of things (a front for killing people) (he is not good at the buisness side of things.) he was raised by his grandfather after his parents died in a car crash before he was old enough to remember. because he was raised by this strong (lie) cold hearted (lie) mafioso, romeo now belives that showing any sign of emotion is some sort of weakness. whoops! he is also catholic.
Romeo straight up does not care about the family rift. The first thing he did when he was allowed to leave the house at the ripe old and mature age of 13, was to reconnect with the two (also third-generation) children of the Lorenzo family, though he found out only one line remained in operation. The Lorenzo family business was not doing too well. The heir, Caesar, was honestly shit at running it. it really didn't help that they were losing business to the de Lorenzo's (who were just all around better at it, as well as having a better reputation). When Romeo first met with the two, he didn't really envision inheriting their side of things but there's only a certain demand for hitmen in Italy (because as we all know the world is just so neat and compartmentalized.) Anyways, Caesar begged (??? what did he mean by this) Romeo to take over and he did. what else could he do but oblige? (?????????once again what did he mean by this)
juno?? arioso??? who the fuck is that??? She is a (junior) detective who is hunting romeo down. why? because she hates his guts. Nestore killed her dad, and her dad killed nestore (though not directly) (he died afterwards due to complications due to the fight.) Nestore is no longer the head of the business so she's going after Romeo instead. over time it turns rivalways. without any of the romantic tension (BORRINGG). mlm and wlw hostility. Neither can really catch up to each other; they go at the same pace, forever stuck in a mutual stalemate. Juno knows that Romeo doesn't really want any of this, though. That's probably why she goes easy on him, I guess.
